The Pub Rules are an extension of the Tournament Rules, which are the following in ProSkat:

  1. „Give Up“
    1. The opponents may „Give Up“ a game when they are of the opinion that they will lose the game. Each of the opponents can offer „Give Up“ once per game. The other opponent is asked to agree. If he disagrees, „Give Up“ will not be offered to the Soloplayer.
    2. Button: find the „Give Up“ button in the pop-up window „Last Trick“ if you are one of the opponents.
    3. „Give Up“ is not availabe during Ramsch games.

  1. „Lay Open“
    1. The Soloplayer may „Lay Open“ his cards when he is of the opinion that he will gain all remaining tricks. This is a shortcut to make the opponents „Give Up“.
    2. In the case the opponents do not „Give Up“ the current game will be played until the very end – but the Soloplayer’s cards are visible to them now. If the opponents will receive one more trick, the Soloplayer loses the game.
    3. Button: find the „Lay Open“ button in the pop-up window „Last Trick“ if you are the Soloplayer.
    4. „Lay Open“ is not availabe during Ramsch games.

  1. Ramsch
    1. If none of the players accounces 18, a so called Ramsch game will be played.
    2. Ramsch will be played automatically in a Bock/Ramsch Round. Please find instructions later in the section „Bock and Ramsch Rounds“.
    3. In a Ramsch game each player plays for himself.
    4. In a Ramsch game only Jacks are trumps.
    5. The Skat stays untouched. The player who gains the last trick, will receive the Skat and the points in it are added to the score of this player.
    6. The major goal of Ramsch is to receive as little points as possible. The player who gains the most points, loses the game. If two or all players have gained the same amount of points, all two or three players lose the game and the points are calculated accordingly.
    7. Walkover: if a player gains all tricks, he will win the game receiving 120 points. This is called a Walkover.
    8. Virgin: if a player receives no trick at all, the points calculated for the loser are doubled. This is called a Virgin.

  1. Bock and Ramsch Rounds
    1. Bock/Ramsch Rounds are played in the following cases:
      1. When a Contra Game is lost.
      2. Announcement of Re.
      3. The Soloplayer loses with 60 points.
      4. The Soloplayer wins with 120 points.
    2. In these cases three Bock and three Ramsch games will be played.
    3. In a Bock game, all points are doubled. If a Ramsch Game is played in a Bock Round (because none of the players declared 18), the points are doubled as well.
    4. After three Bock games, three Ramsch games will be played automatically. In the beginning of each Ramsch Game, a Grand Hand in is offered in the order of give/hear/say. If a Grand Hand is played, an additional Ramsch game will be played at the end of the Round.
    5. A Grand Hand Game during Ramsch is played using common rules, Contra and Re may be announced.
    6. After three Grand Hand Games in a row, the next Game has to be a Ramsch Game.

  1. Contra and Re
    1. One of the opponents may announce Contra if he is of the opinion that the opponents will win the game.
    2. Contra can only be announced when the announcer has declared at least 18.
    3. Announcing Contra results in the doubling of points – this counts as well for points won as well as for points lost.
    4. The Soloplayer may respond by anncouncing Re. This will double the result again so that in the end of the game the result will be multiplied by four.

  1. Playing with Tips
    1. Tips are a special extension for the bidding. The order of trump cards AFTER the jacks is counted as well in descending order.
    2. Jack of Clubs/Spades/Hearts/Diamonds, Ace, 10, King, Queen, 9,8,7. For example: all trumps until 10, the player counts “with 6 play 7”. Another example: first trump in the row is King, then player counts “without 6 play 7”.
    3. Specialty: announcing tips
      1. Playing “Grand tip” (the player has to announce “playing tip”) the last trick has to be gained with Jack of Diamonds, otherwise the game is counted as lost.
      2. Playing “normal tip” (the player has to announce “playing tip”) the last trick has to be gained with the 7 of the trump card, otherwise the game is counted as lost.
    4. In both cases the factor of two is added to the bidding and the score.
